To offer the finest and freshest products with the most selection to our clients, at the best prices, our products are handmade to order. Our general turnaround on items on the website are 4-6 weeks, but with the new restrictions put on our business due to the state of the world at the moment, delivery times are harder to predict. We ask for your patience and understanding during the duration of Covid.
If you have placed an order and wish to cancel it, you have 72 hours from the time of purchase.
You will receive a shipping notice from UPS within 3-4 weeks of placing your order.
Returns can be requested up to 30 days after delivery, unused, with tags still on. Orders must be cancelled 72 hours after purchase for a refund.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.
If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
- Where did the name Dormie Workshop come from and why is the Cow standing on a golf club?
- While watching the 2014 Ryder Cup on TV, the word "Dormie" was always being used. We thought it was a cool term that was old school and we love playing match play. We added Workshop because thats exactly what our workplace is and also adds to the Old World feel!
The cow represents a number of things, primarily that leather is our choice for product material. Occasionally we experiment with other materials for special projects but 99% of the time we use genuine leather.
- Where are all your products made?
- All our leather products are handmade in our Workshop in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
- Can you add a name or initials to any cover on your website?
- Yes, we can personalize any cover and more! Please email Matt at firstname.lastname@example.org to personalize any cover on our website.
- What's the difference between you guys and the other guys?
- We not only personalize, we customize as well. Meaning, a name is personalizing a cover but we go "Next level" by offering custom covers made from scratch. If you can dream it, we can probably make it! Think of the show Orange County Choppers...except in headcovers, that's us!
- Why do your prices have such a a large variance?
- It comes down to design. The more ornamented and complex a cover becomes, the more the price will be. We use a number of techniques our competitors don't and often combine methods to make covers that are considered pieces of art.
We use embroidery, laser etching, embossing and leather applique as our 4 common methods for creating unique designs.
- How do I get a custom cover?
- Three things take place and are listed below:
- Send in your idea which can be a picture, sketch, or written description.
- Then we make a digital mock up for you to approve.
- A number of iterations are permitted (some art fees are applicable), once approved and paid for, your cover will arrive in about 4-6 weeks.
- Can you do Professional sports teams such as the NFL, NBA, MLB etc...?
- We do not make covers which may violate copyright laws and/or trademarked logos such as beer brands, movies etc.
We can make "Inspired" covers using common themes based upon your favourite team such as numbers and colourways.
- How long does it take to make a custom cover?
- Once the artwork is approved, covers will typically take 4-6 weeks to ship.
- How long do orders via your website take to arrive?
- These items are made to order and usually ship within 4-6 weeks after purchase depending on the complexity of the design.
- Do you sponsor any events which anyone can play in?
- We are official sponsors/partners of PGA Canada, PGA Atlantic, Golf Canada, Nova Scotia Golf Association and Golf Beattie Strong. There are a number of events we sponsor in tee gifts and also compete in! The characteristics of leather at Dormie Workshop
All of our products are made from high quality leather therefore slight variations in the colour and texture of the leather are subject to change from hide to hide. This is part of the natural beauty of leather.
We do our best to ensure that the colour and texture of our leather products on our website is as accurate as possible. Please also be aware that every screen has individual colour, brightness and contrast settings therefore the actual colour of the product may vary slightly from what is on your screen.
One of leathers greatest properties is that it ages over time very elegantly, we call this patina. That means that the sun, dirt, sweat, and whatever else you throw at your Dormie headcover will add a bit of character each and every game.
Things to remember are:
-the sun can fade or darken leather depending on the color the tanning procedure used.
-leather will absorb whatever it comes in contact with to a certain extent
-the more you use it the better it will feel
-all leather is different, even pieces of leather from the same hide but cut from different sections have slightly different properties.

No exchanges or returns on final sale merchandise. Gift Cards, limited edition merchandise, custom orders and personalized orders are also final sale.
Dormie Workshop Genuine Leather head covers, handbags, shower kits, golf bags, weekender bags, portfolios, liquor/wine bags, alignment stick covers, passport holders, yardage and score card holders are proudly handcrafted by leather artisans in our state-of-the-art leather shop in Halifax, Canada. We stand behind these products with a warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship for one year from the date of purchase. While our products are made to the highest possible standard of quality, if your leather good has a defect, you can send it with the original proof-of-purchase to our Head Quarters for assessment. Our leather goods are investment pieces designed and crafted for longevity, and so repair is always our preferred course. If your leather good cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same item. If the same item is not available for replacement, we will replace it with your choice of a comparable good of equal price. Our warranty is void if the leather good is damaged due to excessive wear-and-tear, abuse, or misuse. It is also void if the good has undergone repair or alteration by a third-party.
